Another one for the journal: Chicken Karaage
Recreating a special Monday date night meal we used to eat at our local ramen joint. We had planned for this to be our special thanksgiving dinner for 2 (b/c of covid). Alas, as things go with planned dinners, it didn't go as planned! We ended up having it for lunch on Friday instead. Curry ramen turned into curry dipping ramen. But 100% cute & delicious. Thxgiving 2020 def one to remember.
Notes:
Double fry is key. 100% potato starch coating is key (but dust off extra, like the recipe suggested). Marinating overnight is key!
Cold tofu had soy sauce, lime, ginger juice, sesame oil, katsuoboshi, seaweed, scallions, sesame seed oil... not sure what else went into it.
